Final blog post of 2019!

     2019 has been a great year

         I learnt a lot of stuff throughout the year.

I really enjoyed doing writing and I think in 2020 I will

be fantastic at writing.

       The teachers and the staff were great

      thank you staff and teachers.

        is leaving since is a year 6.

On Tuesday Kauri and Puriri went to Pt. Chev beach 

we did some activities with Kelly sports

first we did relays and a group activities we

all had to hold each others hand and run in a group without falling,

We also did skatter T-ball and Non stop kricket

and it was really fun

Day 3: The Ghostly Shadow

 Horrifyingly, I woke in my hotel room at the break of dawn,

herring screeching noises. It sounded like a banshee outside. As I got 

closer, the screeching got louder. It was near the swamp

which made me more terrified. Thunderstruck like a lion roaring

to its prey, mist came and a curl of light shone a little girl. One second you saw it, the next you didn't.

I heard giggles all around me I was confused and furious. 

I shouted "HEY WHAT DO YOU WANT" it woke up the neighbours 

an old man came and said ''You awoken her"

Who? I said confused there had been virus spreading he said 

but I didn't hear the receptionist say anything about a virus 

we have been infected by it. I ran to my car and drove until I saw no more.

Day 2: The Arctic Journey

Rapidly, the land mines had gone off

      on the frigid ice covered with snow escaping them my luck had ran out

             I had reached a dead end near a      

        peak the sky began to darken  

      it was dawn but then luck ran out again

thunder stroke on the peak snow began to fall on me the Husky 

   with quick reflexes dodge the snow and ran 

 I had been covered in snow they thought I was dead

but I sticked my hand out of the cluttered snow and continued my journey for revenge

    ...THE END...

    

Art Exhibition 2019

 On Tuesday 17th of September it was the school's 90th birthday
and the school held a art exhibition im sure you probably went I couldn't find mine
sorry but it was fun itself looking at the class's cool art.

Day 1: The greatest libary

Slowly as I was walking through the cluttered and mysterious library, I spotted a little girl reading a book but what book? I had realized the  books swooshing to different directions and some to started to disappear  I had to tell her this was no ordinary library  I ran to her but she didn't care of anything even the books fluttering around her I just realized she been in a deep sleep in her own imagination I tried to wake her up but there was no hope, wait what if I would go in the her imagination I put my hand on the book

was a New Zealand nurse and Anglican  

who served in China. She was

born in Napier, Hawke's Bay. 

New Zealand 6 October 1896.

She trained at Auckland public Hospital.

In 1922 she was accepted 

by the Anglican society 

for the Propagation of the Gospel

 for missionary work in China    

The International Film Festival!

Today at 9:00 Kauri team went to the NZ International film festival to learn and how to make films and to watch short and entertaining videos for all corners

of the world. There were 14 shorts to watch and one of my 

favourite one was about a tadpole

that couldn't grow legs or arms and here and his friends would tease him for 
not looking like the others and here

it is.

This morning room 24 went to the hall to learn about some native birds and extinct animals

and I learnt some facts like that a possum had been deported from europeans

to make coats out of their fur and it was probably the most interesting fact that I learnt cause I didn't know that. Here are some pictures

Buddy Class with room 6

Yesterday room 24 we got to see our buddy class I thought it was gonna be a Kauri team class but it was a Rimu class. We went to the library and waited for them when they came they looked a bit confused but it was really fun we got someone but me and Luke forgot her name which is sad. But we got to read Dr. Seuss. Anyways it was really fun bye.

Amazing Space art work

Cross Country 2019

Today was so exhausting because Kauri team had to have Cross Country and it was in order like this: Year 6 boys went first. Year 6 girls went second. Then it was us (oh no) the year 5 boys uhhhhhhh lets do this one of the hardest challenge was going up hill near the field I think you're probably wondering what position I came I came.........10th!!! ok that's bad anyways I don't have anything else to say so bye and thanks for reading.

The special Commonwealth beast

Yesterday Kauri team was lucky because we got to see professional boxer Alexis Pritchard She got a bronze medal in 2018. In London 2012 Olympic Games. She told us to be courageous be brave and never give up - step out of your comfort zone, be strong and success might not good as you think.

This is Apollo 11 we've landed at Stardome!!

On Friday 17th of May Room 24, Room 22 and Room 25 when to Stardome if you don't know what Stardome is it's a place where you can learn about Space and you can experience new things that you haven't probably seen like this

 Oh yeah forgot to introduce  you to Josh our instructor he told us some facts like Uranus got hit by a meteor and now it orbits on its side. Josh was really good explaining stuff to us. And that's really all I have to say sorry that its short but next now I will try to make my blog post long. Anyways thanks for checking out my blog

Tessellation with Mr.Presnel

I had so much fun doing tessellation with Mr.Presnel if you don't know what tessellation is it's art but its a optical illusion I will give you an example but this is not here's mine you could probably try it yourself

Vr session

Room 24 had a Vr session and it was awesome but we didn't have those hand things it was mostly videos fishes and stopping mud to go on the sand but we still learnt lots. We also got to see stingrays in Poor Knights and it was super fun.
